Living a Life You Love
This is a recording of a presentation by Scott Hunter to a breakfast club that meets weekly to hear informative and motivational speakers. Scott captures, in this 45 minute presentation, what he has concluded after a 20 year inquiry into what it takes to truly have and live a life you love. Scott concludes that at every moment we are at choice, but often make our choices unwisely, unconsciously, and from the past. He suggests that the challenge in life is to make our choices consciously, wisely, and looking to the future. The key areas of life that are discussed are occupation, happiness, wealth.
The reality is that I didn’t have a life that I loved. In fact, I awoke one day in 1977 and looked at my life and there wasn’t much about it that I loved. So I embarked on what has been a 20+ year journey to discover what it takes to have a life that you love and this program reports on what I have found on that journey.
The most significant thing for you to understand is that every day, you are a choice. You are ALWAYS choosing how you respond and approach everything in your life, but mostly you don’t realize that so you don’t choose consciously and wisely. Which is unfortunate because the way life works is that you get the consequences of your choices. Which is worthwhile knowing because your life is always a perfect feedback mechanism.
Having said that, let’s look as some of the major areas of our lives and see what choices we are making:
Occupation – far too many people do what they do “just to make a living” instead of doing what they are passionate about. If you are one of those people, this programs describes a well kept secret on how to take your present level of success and transfer it to another career.
Happiness – we think it’s a function of having our life fit our pictures. So we are constantly comparing the way it is to the way we want it to be. This is a guaranteed set up for unhappiness because things are far more not the way we want them to be. This program then explains the only way you can consistently be happy most if not all of the time.
Wealth – first of all, you don’t have to be rich to be happy. But it sure is nice to be able to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, with whom you want to do it with. Unfortunately, most people struggle with their relationship to money. It’s because we live in a world dominated by thoughts of scarcity and lack. And, you can’t get to abundance from that place. You have to start from where you want to end up. This program then sets forth a really elegant 6-step process for transforming your relationship to money so that you can create true wealth in your life.
Relationships – it’s really tough to have a life you love without many rich, meaningful, quality relationships. Unfortunately, we live in a world that doesn’t teach us what it takes to have them. And, too many people say they “want” a relationship but they really don’t. This program takes a look at all of that and lays the foundation for having relationships contribute to having a life you love.
